Hauling for Uncle Sam – Government Contracting Primer and Industry

Webinar Description:

Navigating the landscape of government contracting for transportation companies can be a challenge given that the industry is subject to frequent change. Nevertheless, contracting with the government is of interest to many transportation providers who look to cash in on the approximately $700 billion of annual contract awards. This session will deliver a primer of government contracting basics and its impact on our industry.

Many aspects of service delivery under government contracts can be different than private sector services, including:

  • Material contracting
  • Complying with the regulations applicable to contracting
  • And following the requisite procedures after an acquisition, sale, or merger of an entity subject to government contracts

In this webinar, we will explore:

  • The contracting process and its unique regulatory requirements
  • Considerations when executing service delivery
  • A current real-world view of issues facing prime and subcontractors from the perspective of private industry and government contracting advisors

Audience members will come away with a view of the current state of government contracting work, an understanding of the “Hot Topics” currently in play, and an ability to “speak the language” of government contracting when working through those nuanced concerns.
