In the past 24 hours, many ATA-MSC members have learned that TRANSCOM has rejected rates submitted by their companies. In response, we have formally written to TRANSCOM to express the industry's strong concerns and highlight the risks these actions pose in further disrupting service members and their families.
Last month, we joined with IAM in requesting the methodology that TRANSCOM was using to arrive at these decisions. We have not received those answers and have asked for them again. In addition, we’ve requested that they
- Restore the competitive range (rate reasonableness criteria) to accurately reflect market and operational conditions,
- Repeat DP3 Round 1 rate filings using objective criteria and reinstate fairness and market-driven competitiveness to the DP3 program and
- Provide a response to our March 7 request for rate filing methodology.
