Truck Drivers in Crisis: Applying Trauma-Informed Strategies in a Catastrophic Accident

Webinar Description:

Truck drivers involved in a catastrophic accident more than likely suffer from significant emotional stress even if they are not physically injured. Too often, in a rush to get the facts and preserve the evidence, we discount that the driver has been traumatized too.
When investigating a major trucking accident, we should have three main goals:

  1. Assess the current emotional status,
  2. Get the best information from the client, and
  3. Minimize re-traumatization

This webinar is for dispatchers, safety managers, in-house counsel, field adjusters and lawyers who often oversee the investigation/preservation of evidence.

You will learn:

  • WHY the traumatized brain may not give the best information immediately.
  • HOW to achieve the goals of being trauma-informed.
  • WHO must know and practice these strategies.
