ATA Law Review: Antitrust Law, Enforcement, and Compliance
Webinar Description:
The webinar will introduce ATA members to the criminal antitrust laws and the enforcement of those laws by the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice. The session will identify the types of conduct that are likely to violate those laws, and the ways in which the Division enforces those laws, with a particular focus on the Division’s leniency program, labor antitrust enforcement, and supply chain initiative.
ATA Members Will:
- Learn the criminal antitrust laws.
- Gain an introduction to the Antitrust Division and its mission.
- Identify types of conduct that likely violates criminal antitrust laws, including conduct related to hiring and employment.
- Understand how the Division enforces the criminal antitrust laws.
- Gain an introduction to the Division’s leniency program and supply chain initiative.
About the Presenter:
Milosz Gudzowski, Trial Attorney, Department of Justice Antitrust Division
Milosz Gudzowski has investigated and prosecuted antitrust violations in a variety of industries, including telecommunications, automotive, health care, and government contracts. Most recently, Milosz prosecuted a matter that resulted in seven individuals and companies pleading guilty to bid-rigging and fraud on government contracts. The defendants were sentenced to a year imprisonment and the companies were fined and ordered to pay restitution. Milosz has also worked several matters involving criminal antitrust violations in labor markets. He received a JD from Columbia Law School and a BA from Yale University.
