Wes Davis is the President for Big M Transportation, Inc., a freight transportation and logistics company located in Blue Mountain, Mississippi. Big M is a family-owned and operated business with a fleet of more than 400 tractors that specializes in freight transportation in all 48 contiguous states.
In addition to his responsibilities at Big M, Wes is serving as Vice Chairman of the American Trucking Associations, the largest national trade association for the trucking industry. Through a federation of 50 affiliated state trucking associations and industry-related conferences and councils, ATA is the voice of the industry America depends on most to move our nation’s freight. Wes is also the Chairman of Truck PAC, whose mission is to help elect federal candidates who understand trucking issues and support the industry, regardless of party affiliation.
Prior to his current role, Wes was Chief Financial Officer for Big M Transportation and the Director of Talent Development at Lumen Technologies. In this position, he led a team supporting all technical, safety, systems, call center and skill transformation training initiatives for the company.
Wes earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting. Wes is also a 2016-2017 alumnus of “Lead ATA,” an annual program that offers advanced leadership skills training and the opportunity to help develop ATA policy.
