Arlington, Virginia — Today, the American Trucking Associations commended negotiators for making progress toward continue free and fair trade between the United States and China.
“Trade is essential for maintaining our economic health, and plays a significant role in driving the trucking industry, so we are pleased that the Trump administration and China have forestalled potentially devastating tariffs,” said ATA Executive Vice President for Advocacy Bill Sullivan. “We hope this means progress is being made on getting a trade agreement that works – one that encourages free and fair trade – for both our nations. We applaud the hard work by American and Chinese negotiators and urge both sides to keep working and to reach a just and equitable deal.”
