Arlington, Virginia – Today, the American Trucking Associations announced it was opening the official National Truck Driver Appreciation Week online store, in advance of this year’s celebration of NTDAW, a salute to the hardworking men and women who deliver our nation’s goods.
National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, this year celebrated September 12-18, is an annual event when the trucking industry joins the public to thank the 3.6 million professional truck drivers dedicated to driving this economy forward. Each day, these professional men and women move Americans goods throughout this country while continuing to keep our highways safe.
“For over a year, the nation’s truck drivers have delivered hope for Americans from coast to coast,” said Elisabeth Barna, executive vice president of industry affairs of ATA, “first delivering life’s essentials during the depths of the pandemic, then ultimately vaccines to fight the virus and now, helping carry our nation’s recovery. They have done it safely, showing grace, dedication and professionalism and it is important that we appreciate them during NTDAW and year round.”
The NTDAW Online Store features an array of products carrying the new 2021 National Truck Driver Appreciation Week logo designed with professional truck drivers in mind, including 2021 NTDAW banners, 100% cotton t-shirts, and a blue and gray NTDAW branded cooler bag. Specialty products also include the sport hat, truck dress socks, 20 oz. water bottle, a Trucking Moves America Forward 10-watt flashlight and the famous I Heart Trucks trailer hitch cover.
In addition, ATA invites carriers, shippers and the general public to incorporate the logo into signage to thank the nation’s drivers. Requests for the logo can be made on the ATA website.
