Washington – American Trucking Associations is proud to announce that applications are now open for the eleventh class of LEAD ATA, the industry's premier development program for emerging executives in trucking.
“The track record of LEAD ATA graduates is remarkable. Many impressive alumni of the program have advanced to leadership positions within their companies and are making significant contributions to ATA and our industry,” said ATA President and CEO Chris Spear. "We expect more of the same from the next LEAD ATA class and look forward to their contributions to this tremendous industry.”
LEAD ATA, sponsored by DriverReach, is a one-year program that includes four mandatory meetings and three optional meetings. Participants also undergo leadership development training and have exclusive opportunities to network with key decision-makers in the trucking industry. By the end of the program, participants develop a vast network of industry peers and a comprehensive understanding of ATA and the industry it represents.
During their time in the program, participants meet with ATA executives and trucking policy experts, enhance their public speaking abilities through professional workshops and gain valuable insights into how ATA works with legislators to create a more efficient and profitable environment for the trucking industry. They also experience ATA’s governance structure and witness the member-led policy-making process in real time. Additionally, each summer, the LEAD ATA class visits Capitol Hill to educate Members of Congress on critical trucking issues and highlight the important role their companies play in the community.
“As a member of ATA, I have witnessed the immense growth and benefits of the LEAD ATA program through Ruan's participation over the years. The program instills the value of ATA and the significance of representing our industry in the legislative and regulatory processes,” ATA Chairman Dan Van Alstine, president and Chief Operating Officer at Ruan Transportation, said. “The collaboration, professional development and networking opportunities offered by LEAD ATA prepare the next generation of trucking industry leaders to face the unknown challenges ahead with diverse ideas and perspectives.”
“DriverReach is honored to continue its sponsorship of LEAD ATA. We share the same dedication and passion for creating the next generation of industry leaders and experts. Every year, a new group of leaders emerges, eager to take on the future of the trucking industry,” said Jeremy Reymer, founder and CEO of DriverReach.
Applications for LEAD ATA can be submitted through the official LEAD ATA website and must be completed by August 1.
