Measuring Congressional Support for the Trucking Industry
Legislative Scorecards for 2020 and 2021
The American Trucking Associations (ATA), along with our state trucking associations and member companies, work to advocate before Members of Congress on critical legislation and regulations that affect the industry. The Legislative Scorecards demonstrate legislators’ support for pro-trucking priorities and opposition to anti-trucking legislation. Among things scored are sponsorship of pro-trucking legislation, key votes, signing onto letters relating to the industry, and committee leadership assignments.
Legislative Scorecards help us hold Congress accountable! If your legislator has a high score, then thank them! If your legislator’s score can be improved, work to engage and educate that Member on trucking priorities to improve their commitment to supporting our industry.
