About the Presenter:
Ryan Herrmann is the Vice President of Moving & Storage Products at Vanliner Insurance Company, based in Cleveland, Ohio. In this role, Ryan spearheads the strategic product development, innovation, and market expansion initiatives for the Alternative Risk Transfer solutions team within the Moving and Storage Division. His expertise lies in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating non-traditional risks, developing innovative risk transfer solutions, managing captive insurance programs, and leveraging data analytics to drive strategic decision-making. Ryan is passionate about navigating complex risk landscapes with a proactive and solutions-driven approach.
Prior to his current position, Ryan served as the Assistant Vice President of Moving & Storage at Vanliner Insurance Company. During his tenure, he conducted comprehensive risk assessments, prepared detailed financial models to evaluate the impact of alternative risk strategies on client portfolios, and recommended Alternative Risk Transfer solutions for some of the country’s largest moving and storage companies.
Earlier in his career, Ryan spent over a decade honing his insurance expertise as he advanced within the company. This foundational experience sharpened his ability to navigate complex challenges while aligning with business objectives. Ryan is widely recognized for his progressive leadership, strategic vision, and unwavering commitment to advancing insurance solutions for the moving and storage industry.
Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a double concentration in Management and Finance from St. Louis University before completing a Master of Business Administration degree from Washington University. He and his wife Stephanie have one daughter, Elizabeth, and reside in Lakewood, Ohio.
