Calling all motor carriers! ATA is excited to announce the launch of its 2024 Driver Compensation Study!
This updated benchmarking tool informs fleets on how competing motor carriers compensate their drivers. It includes detailed data about pay structure and amounts, including pay rates at different levels of experience and annual average compensation including bonuses for a variety of driver and route types. This study provides thorough information on healthcare programs, including employee and employer-paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well employee benefits and their value including retirement, life insurance, paid holidays, and paid leave. Finally, this study contains data on a variety of bonuses offered to drivers including how they are offered and their payout value. Purchase this study to better differentiate your company in the market and attract top drivers.
The survey data includes 120 fleets, over 150,000 employee drivers, and over 14,000 independent contractors, with data broken down by for-hire truckload (TL) carriers, less-than-truckload (LTL) carriers and private fleets. Pay rate and annual compensation data is for 2023. This study provides company, employee driver, and employee benefits profiles for private, TL, and LTL carriers.
Base-pay by years of experience, bonus and incentive data was vetted further by:
- TL – by trailer type, route, region and independent contractors, including drayage and final mile.
- LTL – by region, then OTR and local.
- Private Carrier – by trailer type.
