ATA’s Technology & Maintenance Council Opens Registration for Summer Conference & Fleet/Utility Forum

May 04, 2023

Washington – The American Trucking Associations opened registration for the 2023 ATA Technology & Maintenance Council Summer Conference & Fleet/Utility Forum, scheduled for June 20-21 in Washington. The event will be co-located with the summer meeting of ATA’s Technical Advisory Group.

TMC will host this event in cooperation with EPRI, an independent, non-profit energy research and development organization. The event will be held based on input from both organizations’ members who have expressed a need for targeted, focused education on the challenges surrounding power generation transmission, distribution, and system cybersecurity associated with onboarding electric vehicles.

“During this conference, TMC and EPRI will present sessions on electric vehicle specification, performance and rollout plans, as well as fleet user deployment strategy and status updates, with particular focus on fleet experiences with performance, infrastructure and operational challenges,” said TMC Executive Director Robert Braswell. “We’ll also hold sessions covering the electrification planning process based on utility capabilities and capacities, as well as present case studies from the fleet-utility perspectives.”

The conference will also discuss important cybersecurity concerns with electric vehicle operation, discuss emerging standards, review policy and regulatory issues and present the latest information on EPRI’s EVs2Scale2030 Initiative.

“EPRI is pleased to be a part of TMC’s utility/fleet forum,” said EPRI Director of Transportation Britta Gross. “This convening will foster timely and important discussions between the trucking and utility industries so that they may better understand their respective priorities and work to identify and align needed actions to successfully achieve 2030 electrification goals.”

TMC’s 2023 Summer Conference & Fleet/Utility Forum is scheduled for June 20-21 at the Renaissance Washington, D.C., Downtown. For more information, or to register, visit https://tmcsummer.trucking.org/
