Webinar Description:

Join the ATA Safety Management Council to hear a discussion on how fleets are training their drivers to stay safe and prevent the spread of COVID-19. The conversation led by Laura McMillan, will include Greer Woodruff, Bill Woolsey and Paul Mullen. Discussion will cover how their companies are training drivers and other employees, what safety and sanitation protocols they have put in place, how day-to-day operations have adjusted and how they’re communicating change in a fast-moving situation with remote employees.
 

About the Presenters:

Laura McMillan, Vice President of Training, Instructional Technologies

Laura McMillan, CTP, is Vice President of training development at Instructional Technologies, Inc. Laura is a seasoned practitioner with over 15 years of experience in the transportation-logistics industry. Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, a Master of Arts in Instructional System Design and Adult Learning and a Class A CDL. She has also served on the FMCSA ELDT curriculum sub-committee and the Board of Governors of the NPTC. Laura frequently speaks at ATA events.

Greer Woodruff, Senior Vice President over Safety, Security, and Driver Personnel, J.B. Hunt

With over 32 years in the Transportation Industry, Greer Woodruff is both a leader and an advocate for Motor Carrier Safety. As the Senior Vice President over Safety, Security, and Driver Personnel at J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc., Greer ensures a fleet of over 19,000 stays up to date on the latest safety, compliance and technology best practices. Throughout his career, Greer has served on several Safety policy boards and committees. He currently serves as the chairperson of the Technology Advisory Committee for the Alliance for Driver Safety and Security. In 2017, Greer participated in a roundtable on behalf of the American Trucking Associations before the United States House Transportation Subcommittee on Highways and Transit. He has received numerous industry awards, such as the “Distinguished Safety Leadership Award” from the Truck Safety Coalition in 2016 and the Trucking Alliance “Highway to Victory Award” in 2018.

Bill Woolsey, Director of Safety, Freymiller

Bill Woolsey is the Director of Safety for Freymiller, a premier refrigerated motor carrier based in Oklahoma City, OK. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and has been certified through the North American Transportation Management Institute as Director of Safety. Bill has been in the safety profession for over 20 years and specializes in transportation safety with an emphasis on driver management and training. When he isn’t striving to enhance his company’s core safety initiatives, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching his son play baseball and traveling.

Paul Mullen, Safety & Training Supervisor
