Rich Pianka is Deputy General Counsel of American Trucking Associations, where he advocates on behalf of the industry before Congress and the executive branch on a wide range of legislative and regulatory issues. In addition, as Chief Counsel of the ATA Litigation Center, he is responsible for advancing and defending the interests of motor carriers in the nation's courts, and regularly represents ATA in cases with broad policy implications for the trucking industry. Prior to joining ATA, Rich practiced general and appellate litigation at Mayer Brown LLP, clerked for Chief Judge Danny J. Boggs of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center.
