Last week, Congress enacted the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, which requires certain employers to provide new paid sick and family leave benefits. In this webinar, we’ll walk through what employers need to know about their obligations under the new law, the tax credits for required benefits, and the law’s provisions for self-employed workers.

About the Presenter:

Rich Pianka, ATA Deputy General Counsel, ATA Litigation Center Chief Counsel

Rich Pianka is Deputy General Counsel for the American Trucking Associations, where he advocates on behalf of the industry before Congress and the executive branch on a wide range of legislative and regulatory issues. In addition, as Chief Counsel of the ATA Litigation Center, he is responsible for advancing and defending the interests of motor carriers in the nation's courts, and regularly represents ATA in litigation with broad policy implications for the trucking industry.

Rich came to ATA in 2012 from the general and appellate litigation practice at Mayer Brown LLP. Previously, Rich clerked for Chief Judge Danny J. Boggs of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and is a graduate of Princeton University, the University of Texas at Austin, and the Georgetown University Law Center.
